BJP was richest political party in 2019-20 with assets worth ₹ 4,847.78 crores

  Based on the analysis of assets and liabilities of national and regional parties in 2019-20, the Association for Democratic Reforms prepared its final report. The report says that the total assets declared by the seven national and 44 regional parties during 2019-20 are worth ₹ 6,988.57 crores and ₹ 2,129.38 crores, respectively. The Bharatiya Janata Party declared its assets worth ₹ 4,847.78 crores in the financial year 2019-20, which is the highest among all political parties, followed by the BSP ₹ 698.33 crores and the Congress at ₹ 588.16 crores, as per poll reforms advocacy group ADR. The figure shows that among the seven national parties, the highest asset share is with BJP with 69.37 percent followed by BSP and Congress with a share of 9.99 percent and 8.42 percent respectively. RRB NTPC Exam Aspirants protest gone violent

  The RRB NTPC exam aspirants have gone for protest and have called for Bihar Bandh over irregularities in the results of railway recruitment exams. Thousands of students took part in the protest against discrepancies in the RRB recruitment process. The anger of the students burst after the recruitment board decided to conduct two computer-based tests (CBT) for the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). The results of CBT-I Group-D were published on January 14, shortlisting candidates for CBT-II. The aspirants claim that this criterion for the recruitment was not mentioned in the RRB notification released in back 2019, they say that RRB had mentioned only one exam in the notification. Israel approves $716mn plan to plant 450,000 trees due to climate change

Tel Aviv, Jan 24 (UiTV/IANS)  - In the wake of climate change , Israel has launched a national plan to plant 450,000 trees across the country, according to a joint statement issued the Ministries of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and Rural Development. The plan, at a total of 2.25 billion shekels ($716 million), includes the planting of trees along about 3 million metres of streets by 2040, Xinhua news agency quoted the statement as saying. The plan, aiming to prepare for climate changes, was approved by the government after submitted by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Minister of Environmental Protection Tamar Zandberg and Minister of Agriculture Oded Forer. The trees will be planted following artificial intelligence mapping of the existing tree shade cover in the local authorities. According to experts at the Sheba Medical Centre, which launched a trial in December 2021 to test the efficacy of a fourth Covid shot, although the booster raises antibody levels, there are "still a lot of infections" among those who received it, The Times of Israel reported. According to the auto-tech website Electrek, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) released its numbers this week and showed that Tesla sold 70,847 China-made vehicles in December -- a new record. The vast majority were sold in China and only 245 units were exported to other markets. Gigafactory Shanghai has become Tesla's exportation hub and early in the quarter -- in this case, October and November -- the automaker produced vehicles for international markets, especially Europe and Asia and focused on producing vehicles for the Chinese market later in the quarter. These new 70,847 units add up to a total of 473,078 vehicles coming from China or sold in China for Tesla in 2021, the report said.
