Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday said even in the most developed nations of the world, the Coronavirus patients are not able to get the treatments in the hospital due to the patients load, urging people to stay at home to save India from such situation. "Even in America, the world's most developed country, Coronavirus patients are not getting treatment in the hospital. The number of patients is so high. If the country (India) has to be saved from these conditions, then there is only one way - stay inside the house and follow the lockdown. To avoid big trouble, small troubles will have to be faced," he tweeted in Hindi. Sisodia, in another tweet, also said that movement of the migrants from Harayana and Punjab is still on. "Dangerous situation across the nation," he said. In India, the total tally of Coronavirus cases has crossed the 1000-mark on Sunday and has reached 1024, while in Delhi, 72 positive cases have been reported so far.   

World Bank finalizing $160bn COVID-19 relief program say David Malpass

The World Bank Group President David Malpass said hat the multilateral lender was finalizing a package that could provide as much as $160 billion in financial support for the worst-hit countries by the coronavirus pandemic. "The goals are to shorten the time to recovery; create conditions for growth; support small and medium enterprises; and help protect the poor and vulnerable," Malpass told a conference call of the Extraordinary Group of Twenty (G20) Leaders' Summit on Thursday. Noting that the World Bank has approved a $14 billion package focused on the immediate health and social consequences of the outbreak, Malpass said "we're now finalizing an additional package that will focus on the broader economic consequences", reports Xinhua news agency. The Australian pop star, 51, has reportedly been speaking with vineyards about creating her own signature wine, and hopes it will appeal to her older fans, reports dailymail.co.uk. Apart from a music career, Minogue delved into other businesses, including a range of perfumes, clothes, and bedding. "She is working with her team to make it happen and is in discussions with lots of vineyards to find the perfect wines," a source told The Sun. Multi-billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk on Tuesday offered 1,255 ventilators for free to help fight COVID-19 pandemic. "China had an oversupply, so we bought 1255 FDA-approved ResMed, Philips and Medtronic ventilators… and airshipped them to LA. If you want a free ventilator installed, please let us know!" Musk tweeted, offering praise to Tesla's China team. The need for additional ventilators has taken center stage in the ongoing fight against the spread of coronavirus and the ventilator has become a critical first line of defense for patients infected by the virus. Additionally, Musk has donated 50,000 N95 surgical masks and various protective items to a hospital in the US. Tesla CEO Musk has made a promise that he would donate 250,000 masks with the N95 protection level, which belong to his companies, to hospitals. The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Health Hospital received a truckload of various protective items, including masks and gowns from Tesla.

11 new COVID-19 cases in China, South Korea sees more recoveries

China on Saturday reported 11 new coronavirus cases and 13 deaths, taking its total number of infections to 80,824 and deaths to 3,189, while South Korea reported more recoveries than new infections for a second day in a row, raising hopes that Asia's biggest epidemic outside China may be slowing. Of the new infections in China, four were from Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak, and seven were brought into the country, while 10 of the 13 deaths were in Wuhan, reports the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post (SCMP) newspaper. In a statement on Saturday, the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said that it recorded 107 new coronavirus cases compared with 110 a day earlier, taking the national tally to 8,086. In contrast, 204 patients were discharged from hospitals where they had been isolated for treatment. Making a significant recovery from the day's bloodbath both Sensex and Nifty rose from their intra-day lows to trade in the green. Sensex gained over 3,900 points to touch the intra-day high of 33,349.83 points. At 12.08 p.m., the Sensex was trading at 33,067.35, higher by 289.21 points or 0.88 per cent from its previous close of 32,778.14. It had touched intra-day low of 29,388.97 during the initial trade. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 9,667.65, higher by 77.50 points or 0.81 per cent According to analysts, investors are carrying on lower level buying, which has supported the stocks. The markets have gained as the trade resumed around 10.20 a.m. after a 45 minutes halt as both the indices touched their 10 per cent lower circuit during the initial trade.
